The electric grid is changing as energy suppliers are using more renewable sources (wind and solar) and lower cost conventional fuels (natural gas) in place of nuclear energy and coal. Consumer choices include NOPEC (NEO Public Energy Council) options, “power purchase agreements” and “renewable energy certificates”. How might these choices affect you?

Our guests are:  Rich Schiferl, Electrical Engineering Consultant and Adjunct Asst. Professor, University of Wisconsin; Liz Schiferl, Technical Fellow, Lubrizol; and Norman Robbins, Professor Emeritus, Founder and Director, CWRU Center for the Environment and member, Shaker Heights Sustainability Task Force.
