Our Present and Future
The mission of First Unitarian Church of Cleveland is to create a welcoming and diverse congregation that nurtures the spirituality, inspires the religious exploration, and encourage commitment and service to the community among our members.
- Nurturing our Spirituality
- Our Sunday morning services provide a time to reflect on our UU beliefs, connect with our members, and engage with the spiritual life of First U.
- Resources provided by First U and by the Unitarian Universalist Association help us to deepen and develop our faith. These include workshops, online webinars, and lots of reading materials. Check out InSpirit, the UUA’s bookstore for some great Unitarian Universalist reads!
- Inspiring Religious Exploration
- Our Youth Religious Exploration programs are designed for children in grades K-12. Click here to find out more!
- For Adults, we offer a wide variety of Religious Exploration opportunities, including book discussions, conversation groups, mediation and chanting classes, and community forums.
- Encouraging Commitment and Service to the Community
- First U is a member of Greater Cleveland Congregations, an interfaith social justice organization.
- Through Unitarian Universalist Justice Ohio, UUJO, we advocate for racial and economic justice, witnessing with and on behalf of marginalized groups and individuals.
- We also offer a number of volunteer opportunities within our walls.
