Your first visit to First Unitarian Church could be part of a quest you may have been on for a while, or one you have just begun.  Either way, you are most welcome among us!

What to Expect

We know what it is like to go to church for the first time. It can be a little awkward and even scary. We want all of our guests to feel as comfortable as possible when visiting First U. So, we’ve put together this guide to help you know what to expect.

We’re Easy to Find — Directions to the Church:

Our Street address is 21600 Shaker Boulevard in Shaker Heights, Ohio.

First Unitarian Church of Cleveland is on Shaker Boulevard East, between Warrensville Center Road and Green Road. The Church is at the top of Belvoir Oval. You can reach the church via the RTA Blue/Green line. The Belvoir Station is directly across from First U.

Find us on Google Maps.

Parking:
Our parking lot is located behind the church, with two entrances off of Belvoir Oval. Handicapped spaces are available, as well as a number of covered parking spots under our solar array.

Directions Around the Church:
On Sunday mornings, Greeters are available at the East Entrance to help you make your way into the church.
Wheelchair users should use the West Entrance, which has automatic doors and a ramp to the first floor. Follow the hallway on your right to the elevator for full building access.

Also found on the First Floor are our Religious Exploration classrooms, Library, and Art Room.

The Second floor is home to the Junior and Senior High rooms, Staff Offices, Worship Center, Baker Room, and Weekday Welcome Center.

Our Fellowship Hall is located in the basement.

Listening Devices for the Hearing Impaired:
If you have difficulty hearing, please request a hearing assistance device/receiver from any of our ushers.
